| We replaced a much older style trash can drawer with this rev-a-shelf model using the 2 x 8.75 gal cans. Our old drawer was in the house when we purchased it and it never closed very well due to the design that used rails instead of a base at the bottom like the new one has.
We are exceptionally pleased with the quality and installation of this model. The installation was pretty quick, only about 40 minutes in total for removal and install. I was surprised that the rails mount on the base of the cabinet and not the sides. This is ideal as it makes installation much simpler and harder to mess up. The template was very good for the bottom mounts. For the cabinet door face I had to measure out where the holes would go rather than using the template, as each door face may be different in how it lines up with the rest of the cabinets. That was no problem.
The first time it closed it was fantastic! The self-close feature worked very well and the only thing we need to learn is to not push it so hard! Our old one required a hefty push to close all the way and this is effortless, so that is taking a bit of getting used to.
Overall, I'm glad we did this improvement. Having two cans instead of one works great for the recycling and the quality is exceptional. |

| I have tried some other options - less expensive - and they simply failed to hold up. This product is very well designed and easy to install. It may take a few adjustments at first but easy to handle with some patience.

| How you attach the pull out unit would be your personal preference. However, if you do not attach to the door, you would need to open the cabinet door and pull the unit out. |

| First you would measure from the inside of the door opening - left to right. You measure there to make sure that the trash bins would clear the hinges and can pull all the way out. Next you would then measure the depth - front to back - to ensure you can close the door once installed. Finally you measure your height - top to bottom - so it wont be hitting the top of the cabinet and can clear that as well. |

| Item 5349-18DM-217 is a bottom mount unit and does not include a door front. It has a Minimum Frameless Width Opening of 14-15/16" W x 22-3/8" D x 19-3/16" H or Minimum Face Frame Width Opening of 15" W x 22-3/8" D x 19-1/2" H, so your 15" opening should be fine.
