This unit can be door mounted with optional brackets if preferred. The trash can and optional lids are held securely in place with the specialized wire management system which includes a handle for easy pull-out. 	Was a bit tricky to install, but after 2 tries it worked, and it fit well in the limited space we have. The automatic closing which happens in the last 2" of travel, when you push it in, does not always work and it needs a nudge. The bottom rails, when extended, are a bit flimsy and that may be the cause of the auto closing occasional slowness. But I'm happy. Thanks for the survey.
