I haven't installed these yet, but they look amazing and I'm sure they will make my live edge bar a show piece! |

I will be installing a glass countertop--42" x 18"-- onto a pair of the brackets we are ordering from you. I plan on using an adhesive. Is the adhesive tape that is shown on your site as an optional accessory a suitable adhesive to hold the entire countertop permanently in place. If not, where can I find such an adhesive? Thank you. - Asked about product FB-35010
Yes, the adhesive tape ( FB-00795 ) would work to install a glass countertop. |

I am ordering some brackets (FB-35010) and there are some items below called "counter mounted bearing plate kit" (FB-39978). Is this something I must have to mount a wood bar top on top of the brackets and the brackets will be mounted to a granite counter top on the bottom? If so, can you better explain what these mounting kits do and what they consist of? Thanks - Asked about product FB-35010
The Foremont Mounting Kit contains: 4 Bearing plates: 4" x 4" and 4 Bolts: 1/2" x 2". You would need this kit to secure the brackets to your countertop (these would work for granite, marble or wooden surface). |

Hi. I purchased 4 brackets. Underside of my ceasarstone (granite) sub counter will be reinforced with steel bar. 1/4" x 3"w x >6"L. Top counter is wood live edge slab. Question is about hole size through the *sub counter*. Concern is about cracking the stone vs bolt hole size needed for proper mounting. 1/4" stainless through bolts. Counter guy said the bolts should go through a plastic sleeve. Basically, is it recommended/okay that the sub counter bolt holes be large enough to accommodate the 1/4" bolt through a plastic sleeve, and potentially additional diameter clearance? (As opposed to a 1/4" bolt through a 1/4" hole) Thank you, Rich S Is a plastic sleeve around the bolt recommended for mounting strength? - Asked about product FB-35010
This bracket does not require any type of sleeve to go around the bolt for the installation. You can go that route if you would like to, but you would need to consult the contractor onsite for appropriate hole size. There has not been any issues of counter tops cracking with the standard installation. |
