Review Star RatingsWorks great
by: Phil K.   ✔Verified Buyer      from: Hereford, OR      on: August 8, 2013
Very well built. At highest spped, it is about as loud as a standard issue 'cheap' 160cfm - 6" diam fan you find in must budget range vents, but it's 1080cfm! This fan has a high/low speed

Not only is it fantastic looking, it also kicks butt when it is moving air.

Review Star Ratingslooks really cool!
by: Erik Price   ✔Verified Buyer      from: Orange, CA      on: January 4, 2011
The fan is not yet installed (which is why I can't give it 5 stars yet), but looks really cool. Much higher quality than what is sold at 'box stores'. Had a mis-communication with the order, but that worked out fine.

Review Star RatingsSurprisingly Quiet!
by: J Gillis   ✔Verified Buyer      from: Falls Church, VA      on: December 6, 2010
Installation was a breeze. The fan is extremely quiet, my wife loves that you can't even hear it over the running water of the shower.

Installation was a breeze. The fan was extremely quiet. Perfect for drop ceiling applications where the fan can't sit on the ceiling tiles.

Review Star Ratingsvry good
by: Ralph Wuest   ✔Verified Buyer      from: Douglaston, NY      on: October 22, 2009
I purchased your duct in-line fan and it works perfectly. I had to tie it into an existing 4" duct which was difficult but the mounting brackets made it relatively easy. All went exceptionally smoothly but when I wanted to wire it up, the wiring diagram did not match up with what was on the fan. Fortunately, anyone with a bit of knowledge could figure out the correct way to wire it.

Ask a questionWhat is the difference between the pv and the td series inline duct fans?   - Asked about product SL-TD-200
AnswerThe difference between the TD line and the PV line is in the design & how the air is moved.

The TD line is a mixed flow fan which is a special overlap blade propeller with straightening vanes
in the housing which allows the fan to perform well when there is ductwork installed. Traditional propellers
do not perform well at all when there is ductwork installed. The TD-200S has a maximum total installed
duct length of 60 feet.

The PV line is a centrifugal impeller (squirrel cage) which will deliver higher CFM with long duct runs installed.
The PV-200 can be operated with 80-100 feet of total installed duct length.

Ask a question Have 6" TD 150 would like to tie it into a 8" discharge duct and into a 8" suction with a back draft at the fan in the discharge, any negetive affects from this arrangement also discharge will be approximate 13'.Thanks.   - Asked about product SL-TD-150
AnswerThe TD-150 has a maximum total duct run of 35’ and each elbow is equivalent to 5’ of duct so it sounds as if the duct length is within those parameters. The larger duct diameter will not have a negative effect on the performance

Ask a questionI am looking to install this as an additional fan for a microwave vent. How far downstream from the rangehood should the fan be mounted to avoid issues caused by heat. This is an install for a customer who wants to do indoor grilling.   - Asked about product SL-TD-100X
AnswerYou should install the unit at least 5ft away, however in the application you have described we recommend that you use the TD-150 (6” duct) but preferable the TD-200 (8” duct). If you have to use the 4” duct then you should go with the PV-100X found on this page: Click here

AnswerYes, it’s pretty quiet. The sound level for the TD-150 is 2.8 sones out of 10.

Ask a questionis this fan reversible?   - Asked about product SL-TD-200

Ask a questionWould this be sutiable for use in a downdraft range application? I am concerned with the 104 degree max inlet temperature and the plastic fan and housing. It will be mounted downstream, possibly up to 10' away.   - Asked about product SL-TD-150
AnswerWe would not recommend the use of plastic fans for range hoods rather, we would recommend PV-150 (or PV-150X) which will ensure efficient operation up to 140 degrees.
