Hi- I can't find the exact measurements on your website for the 30" model. Our cabinets are exactly 30" apart... how wide is this unit with the trim? - Asked about product NA-R30B30SMB1XUF1 |
| | The trim will add an additional 2-3/8" to the over all width making of NA-R30B30SMB1XUF1 range hood to be 32-3/8" W.

 | How do you cut/ trim the top of the hood? - Asked about product NA-R3048SMB1MUF1 |
| | According to Omega, you need to tape the seams, or even double tape the seams with masking tape. Please use a jig saw with a clean blade to cut clean. Be extra careful not to put too much pressure on the hood so it doesn't break the seams apart.

 | I need a chimney style vent hood that is 90" from top to bottom. I have 13 ft ceilings. I want a wooden hood unfinished. Is there an extension I can add to this hood? Or is there any other hood that would fit my specs? - Asked about product NA-R3048SMB1MUF1 |
| | Range hoods usually mount 30" - 36" above the cooktop, and this hood is 46" H; but unfortunately it does not come with a chimney extension, so it would not reach the 90". Omega National cannot customize their wood hoods.
This hood - Click here - measures 22-7/8" and with the optional 31" chimney (purchased separately here: Click here ), and mounting the hood 36" above the cooktop, would reach the 90".

 | My kitchen cooking area, exclusive of the eating area is about 16 x 11 x an 11 foot ceiling. There will be a soffit to 9 feet for the hood. My stove is 30 inches wide, but has five burners and is about 49,000 BTU. I am thinking I will need the 500 CFM. What do you recommend for the size of the hood, and the ventilation needs? It is being vented outside of the house. I am concerned about the noise. I do want decent lighting, there is a decorative antique fireback under the hood. - Asked about product NA-R3048SMB1MUF1 |
| | For a 30" cooktop you should have an overhang of 3" on each side. We would recommend the 36" NA-R3036SMB1MUF1 wood hood. Once this is added to the cart, the blower options will come up for you. For the 500 CFM blower, you would need the BR-PM500SS blower, or, if you want it to be quieter, you would need the NA-RHVBH2 power pack for use with an exterior blower. Then the blower would also be another separate piece.

 | I have a 48" GE Monogram stove with 6 burners 18,000 btus each, and a grill with 14,000 btus. With this cherry wood hood, what must the distance be between the bottom of the hood and the burners? How much of the hood would I have to cut off with my 7 1/2" ceilings? I am trying to decide if this is the right hood for my room, or if I should choose a different one. Also, which internal blower and power pack do you suggest? - Asked about product NA-R3048SMB1CUF1 |
| | For your cooktop, considering all of the burners on high at the same time, you would need approximately 1200 CFM. Most of the blowers are 500 CFM or lower. The only blower that would work for you is the NA-RHVBH2 hood for use with an exterior blower. The item is 46" H and the hood mounts 30 - 36" above the cooktop. If you mounted at 30" above the cooktop and your ceiling is 90", then the hood would need to be 24" H. You would need to trim at least half of the hood down.
