- BR-MD6T, BR-MD8T & BR-MD10T are Direct Wired - designed to work with select Broan range hoods to balance indoor air pressure by providing interlocked make-up air; damper opens automatically when the range hood is activated
- BR-MD6S, BR-MD8S & BR-MD10S have damper only - are interlocked to the main automatic or universal make-up air damper and open in unison for synchronized operation. They close, along with the main damper, as soon as the range hood is powered off. Dampers can be “ganged” together to provide a cost effective means to provide for higher volumes of make-up air
- BR-MD10TU is Universal - designed to work with any Broan range hood to balance indoor air pressure by providing interlocked make-up air without requiring a direct wire connection between the range hood and the damper. Instead a sensor is attached to the exhaust duct to detect if the range hood is operating
- BR-SMD6 & BR-SMD8 include LinkLogic - LinkLogic® design works with SmartSense® ventilation fans and select BROAN® range hoods to balance indoor air pressure by providing interlocked make-up air. They use existing AC wiring to communicate between the damper control and ventilation devices with no added wiring. The LinkLogic relay fits a single-gang box.

 | According to Broan, it can be used with any range hood with the same size ducting and gets installed in the inline or air intake duct. It gets installed in a separate duct anyway, so as long as the duct size matches up it should work.
