		HA-807.78.695 is a total length of 47-5/16", you can use the full rod without an intermediate support, if you chose to do so, however, I would not put large oversized heavy items hanging in the middle of the rod.

	Do I use the 17 3/4 rail for a space that's exactly 18" wide? i.e. do the end caps make up the 1/4 width? Also, can longer lengths of these be cut with a hacksaw for custom widths? - Asked about product HA-801.78.991
		Item HA-801.78.991 is exactly 17-3/4"W; adding 1 additional tube support would equal 18"W. If you did need a smaller size than listed, then yes you would be able to purchase a longer piece and cut it down to your desired size.
