The wooden drawer presents plenty of excellent, convenient space for your kitchen utensils. An included electrical outlet strip means that not only can they handle cutting jobs, but tasks for the blender or toaster as well, the lower slatted shelf also provides the space to store them when not in use. Safe knife storage is also not a problem with these kitchen islands, which comes standard with a wood knife holder, complete with a blade shield. | I am giving this piece five stars because it is very well built, was easy to put together, and provides a much-needed function in our kitchen. The only disappointment I have is with its size. I was assuming it would be a bit smaller, so it is somewhat overwhelming in our kitchen. But because we do not have an island it gives me that extra space between counters. When the casters are on, the cart stands at the same height as our counters. I love the added bonuses of a knife storage area, a drop-leaf, towel holders, drawer, and strip for electric appliances. |

| This is a very sturdy and well made product. I added a knob to the drawer to make it a bit easier to open. The only reason I gave it four stars was because the knife holder that attaches to the back of the cart had the holes for the screws drilled in the wrong place. We were able to remedy this however. I like the fold down side that gives 12" of additional work area. Shipping was quick and everything arrived undamamged. |

 | You can't order it with a Varnique finish, but you can use the polyurethane gel on it. What we recommend is using a 220 grit sand paper and denatured alcohol to prep it. That way it will cut any type of wax so the polyurethane sticks evenly. |
