Since 1887, John Boos has been the primary commercial manufacturer of butcher blocks. Judging by the Cucina Technica Butcher Block Kitchen Carts, it is no wonder why. Made from end or edge grain hard rock maple, the butcher block tops come in either 4-inch thick or 2-1/4-inch thick models. The Cream finish found on the face, sides and bottom of these beautiful kitchen carts will bring grace and style to your kitchen. The shelf and towel bar are both food service grade stainless steel. Commercial grade 3-inch locking casters ensure that once you find the perfect spot, the cart will stay put and make your kitchen come alive. The 30-inch by 24-inch model of the Cucina Technica cart comes with an optional dovetailed maple drawer featuring a stainless steel front. These well-designed, attractive, durable butcher block kitchen carts are the perfect complement to any kitchen.

| This is a great cart and I love the 4' maple and stainless steel. The cart moves smoothly and the wheels lock tightly. Assembly is very easy. Basically just screwing the frame onto the block.
The only complaint I had was that there was an indentation in the block. Not large but when I run my hands over the otherwise perfectly flat surface you can feel it so I do not know if these tops are carefully inspected before shipment and given the size and weight of this thing shipping it back for a replacement would be no picnic. They send you an email telling you to inspect it upon receipt but the UPS/Fedex guy is not going to sit there and wait while you open the box and remove the contents. They have more packages to deliver. You can sign as uninspected which is what I had to do but that is of little help if you still have to pack this thing up and ship it back.
So if you do order one make sure and request that the one that is sent to you is inspected very carefully to make sure the butcherblock surface is perfectly flat. |
