Description:
These De Foyer butcher block work tables from John Boos have a Cream finished, 5-inch thick, end-grain top made of American Cherry and a black base. Each work table has a dovetailed drawer and a slatted lower shelf for extra storage.

*Combination of natural un-bleached beeswax & mineral oil
*Denser, thicker product than Mystery Oil - penetrates deeply into the grains of the wood, leaves a silky wax barrier and locks moisture in

*Mixture of white mineral oil & beeswax
*Thinner product than the cream - more easily absorbed & penetrates more deeply into the grain of the wood to help protect & revitalize

| What can possibly be said about the greatest looking highest quality Boos butcher block? It is exactly what our kitchen needed, functions perfectly and looks marvelous. | Absolutely Beautiful. We did a big remodel of the kitchen and ajoining family room a couple of years ago was out of budget so settled for a different kitchen island cart of Boos. It was great but always wish we would of got this one. So gave the maple one to my oldest son and ordered this one.The morral of the story is get what you want the first time. The craftsmanship in this is perfect the sale and delivery was flawless. People will say its expensive but once you get yours just look at what you have and you will really appreciate the money you just spent. I am 100 percent perfectly satisfied and HAPPY. |

| The John Boos Block de Foyer is patterned with 5" thick, end-grain cherry blocks of 1-1/2"x1-13/16" dimension. End-grain is easy on knives and self-healing - that is, if you dare actually use it to cut on. This 3'x2'x34"-tall butcher block with its solid maple legs and smooth-sliding utility drawer is almost too lovely to risk a knife on. The block arrived via truck heavily packaged in cardboard and styrofoam. It was heavy, but two people easily bolted the legs and shelf on. The drawer is built into a solid-maple rectangular frame which comes attached to the bottom of the cherry block.
Expensive, sure - but if you replace an entire 36" base cabinet with it in a remodel - like we did - the price works itself out. It slides easily away from the wall to provide space for a second cook in our very small kitchen. Best purchase we've made in years. |
