| I purchased this piece to replace an old worktable we had in our kitchen for years. It was small and my kids had outgrown sitting in the kitchen so I found the table on kitchensource.com and LOVE it. The casters make it easy to push out of the way or roll into the dining room to serve from. The shelves add storage to where there was none before on our other worktable. The color is beautiful and the top is classic Boos. This table is how furniture should be made. Packed well and put together in 45 minutes or less. You'll need some help flipping it over, but after that, it is easy to move around (and stays put with locking casters when you want it stationary). |

| This John Boos table is beautiful, the butcher block top and general construction is very good.
The drawer glides that are used for that center drawer are not very good quality and we had problems with them right from the start. I've asked my husband to get some better quality glides to replace the ones it came with.
I would completely recommend the table - If I were to purchase it again it would be without the center drawer.

| I looked at many kitchen Islands including pricing a custom made one before purchasing this island. For the price and quality I think it is a great product. The 30" Depth is great. Much better made than many at other stores. The top is solid unlike some others that I considered and this was a big factor. The island was not hard to put together , but an extra set of hands was very helpful. It is also heavy for one person to turn over you will need help.
My only problem is that the metal piece that fits into the bottom of the legs for the casters does not stay in. I don't think the "teeth" that should hold are long enough. For now the casters are in but not secure. I will go to the hardware store to find a solution. This would not deter me from ordering the product. I am sure this will outlast me! |
