Fabulous Island by: Carol Mattice ✔Verified Buyer from: Moultonborough, NH on: March 23, 2021 |

This Boos Island is incredible. It was delivered in great shape and looks terrific in our kitchen. Easy to assemble and very functional. We applied the oil the first night and the cream the next night. Our only negative comment is that the three baskets were not the same size. One is visibly deeper than the other two. We put the deeper one in the middle. We are very happy! |

Useful, sturdy and beautiful by: David ✔Verified Buyer from: Savannah, GA on: February 25, 2020 |

We have owned a smaller John Boos butcher block table for over a decade, and it has served us well, with a wine rack built into the lower section. Having recently moved to a larger kitchen that cried out for a work island, we decided to spring for this 48" x 24". It arrived early, extremely well-packed with zero damage, and was easy to assemble. I had a neighbor help me tip it upright once assembled with no problems. The shelf and slide out baskets are well made and very useful. The 4" maple top is just what you'd expect - sturdy, beautiful and heavy. The legs and base are finished in a slightly weathered look that is very attractive. Within an hour of assembly we were using it, and it gets repeated daily use as a salad prep station, bar, grocery unloading, pasta cutting area . . . not sure how we lived without it. |

Perfect size for my kitchen to give some needed prep space. Looked and looked for a narrow nice thick end grain top and I Love it. Easy assembly, but luckily husband, son and son-in-law there to flip it over for me! |

Beautiful butcher block/island by: Chris Roger from: Buffalo, NY on: August 22, 2018 |

The product arrived before it was initially scheduled to ship. The assembly is easy and the instructions are clear, very clear. This butcher block is solid, heavy (in excess of 200 lbs), and most of all BEAUTIFUL! The baskets can be pulled from both side which is quite nice. This piece is a great addition to our kitchen and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, functional butcher block/island. |

I love my John Boos kitchen Island!, by: Lois Velardi ✔Verified Buyer from: Naples, Fl on: September 6, 2016 |

My Island arrived on time with no problems. I arranged for a handyman to come and assemble it. The Barn Red color looks terrific with my decor. The basket drawers open from either side which is very handy. I am so satisfied with my purchase and wouldn't hesitate to order something else when the time comes. |

Weighs a ton, so you need at least 3 people to tip over after attaching the legs and shelf but worth the effort. We love it! |

John Boos product is amazing. You pay a little bit more but it is worth every penny. Kitchensource.com is also amazing. The site said I would receive on the 25th of November. On the 24th of November the trucking company called me to see what time I would like my delivery the next day. This was the week of Thanksgiving! There are many companies and products to choose from, I would buy another John Boos product AND I would definitely order it from Kitchensource.com. You won't be disappointed. Oh, one more thing...the butcher block was perfectly packed, no damage at all and it took my husband about 30-35 minutes to put together. I don't recommend you purchase if you need to take it up stairs (and number of stairs) as it weighs around 200 lbs. solid maple. |

Fabulous product!!! We love our butcher block table.
It is a beautiful piece and fits in our kitchen perfectly.
It is excellent craftsmanship. |

It is a beautiful sturdy product. Only complaint was that the baskets were not all flat bottomed. Also, the special order item took so long to get , I chose not to send them back bc the original order took so long. This product was packaged in a very thoughtful and quality manner. It arrived on a pallet with no damage. It assembled well and looks great. The finish color was exactly as described by John Boos customer service. The top is first rate. Very nice product and best of all, it is made in the USA!! Nicely done. Kitchen Source was very responsive with all of my inquiries. |

I assume the feet are removable. What is the height without the feet? Are there any other options for the feet? (These look a bit country, which isn't the style of my home.) Also, do you know how long it will be available at the sale price? Thank you - Cheryl - Asked about product JB-KI10208-BK
With item JB-KI10208-BK, the feet are as is and they are not removable. Also, there is no other footing options available with this model island. |

I am wondering what the height is between the bottom on the basket and the top of the shelf. I would like to store my kitchen aid mixer on the shelf and so want to make sure it will fit. The mixer is about 17inches tall. - Asked about product JB-KI10208-UG
There would be a clearance of 17-3/4"H between the bottom of the basket and shelf. |

Can the bottom shelf be left off during assembly if you want to use it as an island table/prep space? Or is it needed? - Asked about product JB-KI10208-N
You can leave the shelf off during assembly, but the holes are just going to be visible. It should still remain stable, but after time you may have to tighten the screws for the legs. |

Trying to figure out if the Boos Gathering Table III has enough clearance on the backside for stools? There are no pics or dimensions for floor to bottom of the table top. Also, looks like there may be a trim piece below the table top? - Asked about product JB-KI10208-AL

I recently purchased above item and would like to Coat it with a polyurethane finish. I am not sure if The butcher block top has been treated with anything. It almost appears to be void of any treatments. I am not planning on using it as a "work station " but rather as a "eating station" or table. Please advise me on how to proceed. - Asked about product JB-KI10208-BN
The top of this cart was treated with our Boos Cream. You will need to wait at least 2 weeks from the last time it was treated and sand the top. You can then put a varnish or polyurethane on it. |
