Description:
The Classic Country Work Table from John Boos provides ample space for food preparation. The top is made of 1-3/4" thick edge-grain Northern hard rock maple and features an Cream finish. The base is available in several finishes to match almost any color palette. This worktable measures 30" deep and is available in a 48" or 60" width. An optional utensil drawer is also available.

| Perfect fit for our application. Very well packed for delivery. Had a tiny tool mark on the top, but no big deal. Small crack developed when installing one leg. Probably should have used more soap on the screw threads and did better when I switched to dish soap liquid. Minor crack. Doubt it really hurts a thing. Will now redo the room around this piece. |

| Beautifully made, this kitchen island is the perfect size for our kitchen. The butcher block top is gorgeous and we used Howard Butcher Block Conditioner to condition the top. We ordered the cherry finish for the bottom and the color is very pretty. The only negative is when we read the description, we thought this size island came with drawers. There was no drop down menu to select them and the piece arrived without drawers. Not a big issue, but they would have been nice to have. |

| The table is very well made and looks good in our newly remodelled kitchen. Got here just in time for Thanksgiving and was just what we needed for holding all the extra goodies.
Be aware that the table comes on a pallet in two boxes, three if you order the optional drawers. It comes by truck, so unless you live in a reasonably good sized town or just happen to be on a major route, delivery can be delayed. I ended up driving to the nearest city to pick it up at the terminal. Assembly is very easy...just four lag bolts for the legs and four more for the shelf. |

| I needed a table and additional counter space in my small kitchen. This is the perfect piece. The height is counter top height and with a few stools it serves as a table. It is super easy to assemble. The butcher block top is fabulous. I like this product so much that I have bought it twice. The first one moved out with my daughter and I replaced it. I highly recommend this piece. |

| Just a additional comment about the drawers. Although well-made on smooth slides, the overhang of the table top hides almost 1/2 of the drawer, making it easy to lose contents to the back. Not sure there are any remedies except telescoping glides, but it may become unstable. High quality through out as I noted on my original ratings. |

| Great places to store knives and other utensils to have them immediately handy for food prep. Slides were a little sticky at first but smoothed out when I added a light lubricant. We'll add an overhead pot rack for even more convenience. Failed to mention the voluminous two shelves of the table these were matched with the shelves. Fist shelf is for all our dishes and serving bowls/plates. just reach under and bring out the dinner plates. We are in love with our Boos! |

| After struggling with inept shipping from Aero stainless steel table, we switched our focus (and additional dollars) to a Boos work table. It is substantial, easy to assemble and well-crafted. Hey anything from Illinois has got to be good! We will treat it with the beeswax/linseed oil but other wise we're not interested in keeping it pristine |

| I've only had this table for a few days but so far I'm loving it.
Pros: Sturdy, stable work surface, beautiful, good storage space (I got it in Alabaster white with 2 shelves.
Cons: Surface is sensitive to water - the care and keeping pamphlet stresses not to get it too wet, which seems impractical for a food working surface. It's 36" tall, so for anyone taller than me (5'8") it could be too short for working on.
Overall I LOVE it and love the way it looks in my kitchen. I look forward to many years of use. |

| The paint finish on the legs was uneven, as some parts were finished more smoothly while other parts should have been sanded more before painting.
The cutout ends of the apron for the drawer insertion weren't painted at all, so we painted them. |

| This table is only available in the cream finish top, which would require monthly upkeep of an oil bath as the cream only acts as a wood conditioner. A varnique top is not recommended for any type of food preparation. |

| This work table comes with a cream top, not varnique. Per John Boos, the oil and the cream finish are the same really; you can cut/prep and oil a board that has been finished in the cream with no problem and vice-versa. |
