These 1˝" thick hard Maple table tops are available in 12", 18", 24", 30", 36", 42", 48", 60", 72", 84", 96", 108", 120", 132" and 144" widths and a choice of different depths: 24", 25", 30" and 36". The table top features an oil finish (approved by the NSF for food preparation tasks) or a varnique finish. These maple table tops are also available with a base. The table tops ship via truck.

| This commercial grade maple top is well-made and attractive. It DID arrive with a small gouge in one side, the "finished" side. So, the solid top had to be reversed, with its bottom side becoming the top. We routed the top edges to soften them, sanded the top and applied two coats of boiled linseed oil (sanding between coats) as directed by a utube site. The result is excellent and we are pleased with the product, which we anticipate will provide years of service and is very handsome. |

| You can purchase the John Boos tops unfinished, however, it voids out the warranty. It would be the same price as the oil and you can write "unfinished" in the comment section, or call our customer service department at 1-800-667-8721 to place an order. Keep in mind that most stains for wood are not food safe, so if you are not going to prepare food directly on the wood surface, you could stain your counter yourself. |

| The top will not have as many or as severe imperfections as the bottom but can still have small knots, wide glue lines and sunken glue lines. This SCT04 top is a blended maple top. The KCT04 has full length rails through the entire top. |

| The KCTBL04-O is the "Kitchen Counter Top (KCT)" residential grade top. The SCT top is a commercial grade top, so it can have some imperfections on it, such as glue, dings, and tool marks. The residential top is just made to look more aesthetically pleasing. As long as you get the oil finish in the KCT or the SCT top style, they are NSF certified. The varnique finish voids out the NSF. |
