The maple tops come standard in an oil finish that must be treated every four to six weeks after use. However, a Varnique finish is available for maple wood tops. Varnique is a semi- gloss finish formulated to repel most household solvents, such as detergents and alcohol. Many accessories are also available such as drawers in galvanized, stainless, and plastic finishes, keyed locks for drawers, and stainless steel or galvanized lower shelves. | We love our new prep space! Sturdy, excellent quality. And way less expensive than similar models at mall/department stores. Shipped faster than we were expecting and arrived undamaged. Definitely need two people to set it up from its flat pack shipping box, but assembly went smoothly enough. Love that you can order extra shelves, accessories to customize. Appreciate that it came pre-oiled. |

| The table is of excellent quality. Hardwood maple top in perfect condition. Stainless steel legs and bottom shelf without a scratch. However, once we began putting it together, one set of pre-drilled holes made in the bottom of maple tabletop did not match up with holes for the table leg gusset. We contacted Kitchensource, who then contacted the John Boos Company. They offered to send a new table top but it would be quite a few weeks of delay. We did not have the option to wait. We were disappointed that such a small mistake was possible from a company of such high quality. Not much to do but to drill our own set of holes to connect tabletop to leg.

| I just received this table and I am very excited to put it to good use. The butcher block top came wrapped in "oiled" paper, thus pre-seasoned. I also ordered the set of casters for ease of cleaning. I might purchase another!---Have a small file handy to smooth down the inside of the legs before installing the casters. |
