The bottom slatted shelf is great for keeping kitchen tools and necessities conveniently close by while the sliding wicker basket, accessible from either sides, are spacious and add an unassuming element to this rustic kitchen island. But the star of this small kitchen island is the impressive 4" thick butcher block top. This Boos Block is crafted from Hard Rock Maple in the sought after End-Grain construction. The end-grain construction not only offers durability and longevity, it boasts a beautiful checkerboard design. The butcher block is finished with Boos Block Board Cream to protect the wood.
