Description:
This Empire Kitchen Island by Catskill Craftsmen features two pull-out leaves which provide a large work space of 14-1/2 square feet when the leaves are fully extended. This kitchen island has full extension glides on both the leaves and the drawer to allow for easy pull-out and return. The island is made from Northeastern Hardwood and has locking casters for easy movement and stability. This kitchen island has a drawer and cabinet doors on each side, with an adjustable interior shelf. The kitchen island has an overall size of 44" W x 26" D x 36" H and measures 82" W x 26" D x 36" H with both leaves extended. Ships via UPS.

| Quality wood on top and cabinet doors. Steel handles are beautiful. I love that it functions as a moveable kitchen island. Note that after you put it together, you should treat it with mineral oil or other product designed to protect the wood. The top will have to be retreated periodically as well. So it will require some ongoing maintenance. The sides are thin wood, but they look OK. All in all, pleased by this product. It did take a while to arrive after ordering. |

| I love the size of this cabinet and the storage it has. It is very sturdy. But the butcher block tops are very rough to the point of snagging dishcloths and need to be sanded before they can be used. Some of the wood on body of the cart doesn't seem to be finished (raw wood) or sealed. I thought I was getting a finished, ready to assemble product and didn't expect to have to sand the butcher block tops or seal the rest of the wood on the cart. |

| One of best “kits” I have ever constructed. Parts arrived without any damage or missing parts. Construction is challenging. Although instructions were detailed excellently in some areas, other areas were deficient in instruction. Have patience and be prepared to redo some work. Overall excellent piece of furniture. Happy we made the purchase. |

| I love them..Bought two and put them back to back for a larger island but can also unlock them and use separately moved to the deck end to end for buffets. The pull out drawers were the hardest part because some of the holes were not exactly easy to figure out since the diagram fits many different styles. Otherwise it could cause a divorce concerning this issue..LOL |

| I can't say enough about this island! I have been looking for some time for an island to replace a smaller island I purchased several years ago online. It worked great, bu t I wanted a more substantial island with a few extra features. This one has more than filled the bill! The instructions were great, as well as the videos and I actually was able to put the entire piece together without help. HIGHLY recommend a power screwdriver as the wood is HARDwood! It is a work of art! LOVE IT!!!! |

| When I found out this would come in kit form I thought...well...I don't know. However when I opened up the 3 boxes everything was very organized and packaged well. I am very mechanically inclined (I'm a mechanic!) and I found this to be fairly simple to assemble. I will tell you to view the assembly video because you pick up on some things the printed instructions don't specify.
It took me around 2 hours by myself. I would recommend a second person to help on some of the steps.
If you are NOT mechanically inclined then I would ask someone who was for help as this is a bit of a job to assemble.
The overall quality of the piece is outstanding in my opinion. Everything fit well and the finish on the wood was very nice. The only thing I would suggest for improvement would be better casters but you can always purchase better ones.
I might sand the butcher block top just because I would like it super smooth. It feels just a little rough but I'm very picky. Definitely get the oil to treat the wood.

It is really nice to have a product that is made in the USA and is all solid wood and not composites covered with veneers.

| Ok girls. If you can use a screwdriver (battery operated works best/oil is a must), read directions, and use a measuring tool....YOU CAN DO THIS! I separated all the parts...everything hardware included. Then went step by step! Directions are so easy to follow and pictures help A LOT!... I only needed help in one part and that was attaching the "legs" to the door panels. My neighbor came over to help hold and I took over from there. She left and I finished it up! Piece of Cake. It has so much room and perfect for my small townhouse kitchen. I have a bay window in the room and it fits right in! Wish I could include a picture. I have had LOTS of compliments! Beautiful! |

| You need to lay out all the parts before starting and have a large open assembly space. I was missing the shelf support pins but had the needed materials in my shop so it wasn't an issue. Having a hot glue gun will help make the drawer bottom more secure. All in all very nice and met our expectations. |
