 Very nice cutting board, but it's not 1/2" thick...it's thinner than the dimensions listed in the description.

 AnswerPer John Boos, its not actually a defect so it's not covered under the warranty. John Boos feels that given the proper oil treatment, it could correct itself after a couple of weeks.

 AnswerThis is a poly board and while, very sturdy, it is not as strong in comparison to Nylon. One of the benefits of a Poly board is it is fast drying.
