Not only does this board feature a mezzaluna groove, it comes with a double bladed mezzaluna knife. A mezzaluna knife has a semi-circular blade, allowing the use of both hands to assist and make chopping faster. A mezzaluna is great for chopping herbs, nuts, vegetables and more. In addition, this board fits an included pan for easy collection of your chopping. This board has a has a reversible design with a graduated juice groove on the reverse side. This cutting board is made from solid northern hard rock maple. Ships via FedEx/UPS Ground.

 The cutting board is great and well made, but I was disappointed with the quality of the metal pan that came with it. It seems thin and in comparison with the board, a little "cheap." Overall, it is a great product and was given as gift to my daughter who loves it.
