| Got the block shipped a week or so before xmas and received in a couple days - shipping free, no tax. Its easily 25 lbs and looks like excellent quality. Instructions say they oiled, but suggest another coat or two to give good seal. Lowes had it in with the stains/paints. Make sure you buy "butcher block oil" as other sealants may not be safe. Also, the recommend re-sealing every few months. I expect it will perform as good as it looks. Nice addition to the kitchen counter. |
