This beautiful 2 1/4" thick Walnut Edge Grain Butcher Block Island Top from John Boos adds beauty and class to any kitchen island. The kitchen island top is constructed with full-length rails that run the entire counter top to create a clean, continuous appearance, and 1/4" radius top edges and corners to finish the look. The rich medium and chocolate browns mix with tan and cream streaks to create a beautiful display of color, while the attractive Edge Grain lines make this a stunning centerpiece in the heart of any home. The counter tops are available in 27", 30", 32", 36", 38", 42", 48" depths and in widths from 36" to 144" to fit kitchens of any size. The counter top is available in an oil finish suitable for food prep or a semi-gloss varnique finish.

| We went with the 5' x 27" walnut wood John Boose butcher block in an oil finish for our island. It's absolutely gorgeous. It should be considering it's about 100.00 a sq. ft. Only comment, it should have been packaged much better. Thank goodness it arrived safe and sound. Hope to have this a lifetime! |

My island also needs a cutout accommodate a column at one corner (two cuts, so the countertop resembles a L-shape) is there service that you offer? | Does the underside require oil treatment as does the top? I understand it is not 'finished' but does that also mean it does not require oil? Want to ensure I prevent any issues from occurring down the road. - Asked about product JB-WALKCT2-4827-O | |
| The countertop is not reversible so the bottom does not require oil. |
