This beautiful Blended Maple Grain Butcher Block Countertop from John Boos adds beauty and class to any kitchen island. The Blended Flat Grain construction features random lengths and color variations of Hard Rock Maple jointed together to create a striking and unique design. Hard Rock Maple features a creamy light or blond appearance and is one of the hardest and most durable woods available. This countertop is 25" Deep, 1-1/2" thick, and are available in a variety of lengths from 12" to 144" to fit a kitchen of any size. The counter tops are available in an oil finish suitable for food prep or a semi-gloss varnique finish.

| We remodeled our kitchen and decided to do something special in conjunction with our granite countertops. We put a chopping block on one of our counter tops and it looks amazing! We cook a lot and we often feed large groups of people. This chopping block top will be used all the time. The folks at Kitchensource.com were so wonderful to work with and the John Boos name is synonymous with quality! In fact, I didn't realize it until my new chopping block top arrived, but I have a free standing butcher"s chopping block that belonged to my dad that I have had for over 30 years and it is made by Boos! Would have rated 5 stars except for tiny imperfections where 3 of the butt joints meet. One can feel a difference in height with one's fingers and at the right angle one can see a slight bump. However, that did not warrant sending the whole thing back so I've decided to ignore the flaws rather than risk getting a worse one in exchange. I laid a ten pound dumb bell on them overnight and that reduced the "swelling" somewhat. No one else has noticed them. Otherwise, I am happy with the price, service and the product. |
