Description:
Create a noteworthy kitchen with this beautiful Hard Rock Maple Edge Grain Countertop by John Boos. Hard Rock Maple features a creamy light or blond appearance and is one of the hardest and most durable woods available. The Edge Grain construction presents the hardest surface of the wood providing durability and longevity, while the full-length rail construction runs the entire counter top for a clean, continuous look. This countertop is 1-1/2" thick, and available in a variety of widths from and depths to fit kitchens of any size. The counter tops come in an oil finish suitable for food prep or a semi-gloss varnique finish.

| The counter top was shipped promptly and delivered in perfect condition. I ordered an oversized stock counter because it was cheaper than a custom size. I trimmed three sides of the counter to fit the island I am building. Once trimmed, I cut out the hole for a 30” drop in range. Then, I sanded and shaped all edges and it came out beautiful. A hand sanding of the top surface before oiling the surface was all that was needed. We are very happy with the product and delivery. |

| Excellent customer service. Custom stuff takes an eternity to make/deliver, but that's to be expected. It's just the way custom stuff goes. Just keep that in mind before you make promises to the client/yourself! Beautiful piece of wood and it really compliments the space. I wish I had a better idea what the actual finish color would be, but I have to take the blame for that. I'm sure they would have sent me a sample piece prior to fabricating. I'm a kitchen designer and I will be using this company again. |

| I am in love with my very large butcher block island counter! Beautiful quality and it came sooner than expected. If I could give someone advice it would be to specify where you want the Boos logo put. I wanted the logo on it as it proves it is a piece of quality but I didn't specify where, they put in in the middle on the long side and I wanted to face in inward to my sink but it looks off center with my cabinets of the island because they are different sizes, if I had it on the long side it would have been perfect. Just something to think about.

| I ordered a 42" x 48" block for my kitchen island. I wanted to extend the seating area of my existing island. It is fantastic! I ordered the oiled version. It will require additional mineral oil but all blocks do. My previous one that I also purchased from kitchen source (11 years ago) held up fantastic. I moved that top to a different cart/table.
Fantastic quality!
I highly recommend it. It is 1 and 3/4 inch thick -solid and beautiful piece of maple. |

| If you have an existing top, you would need to decide on the dimensions that work for you. Typically, countertops do have an overhand of about 1-1/2" around. |

| Yes, the item can be shipped with no finish, this however would void the warranty. The pricing would be the same as it is on the oil finish. The item cannot be expedited, it takes 2-3 weeks to be manufactured and shipped and then ships standard ground. |
