Your questions that we answered:

	Is the straight back splash installed on top of the butcher block counter top, or on the sub top, with the butcher block butting up to it? If the latter, it would allow for a slightly larger overhang on the counter tops' edge. I'm hoping both applications are acceptable. Do these wood counter tops require professional installation? Or can clever do-it-yourselfers manage it? Finally, for surfaces wider than 25", are the seams fairly seamless looking? Can you get nice tight joints along the lengths? 		The CHRYS84-V can either be installed on top or as a sub top, with the butcher block butting up to it. We recommend professional installation. Yes, the seams are fairly seamless looking and the joints are tight along the lengths. However the seamlessness of the riser, will depend on the installer and how good of a job he does.
