The soft close mechanism provides stability while in motion, while the Lift Assist system provides mechanical assistance to lift the platform. The Appliance Lift is compatible with a wide range of Full Height Base Cabinets at least 12-1/2" wide.

	We are delighted with the product. Greatly increases the ease in using our heavy KitchenAid mixer. Three tweaks: 1. We put a handle on the top outside edge of the chopping block platform we installed as the surface on which the mixer sits. This greatly increases the ease in pulling the platform up from its stored position. 2. The release handles under the platform are set are bit far back for ease of release. We mounted the platform at the suggested 8-1/2 inches back from the front of the platform. This makes a bit of a reach for the release handles for small hands. I am adding extensions on the release handles to make them easier to reach. 3. The directions have adjustment of spring tension as the final step. This would be so much easier to accomplish with the mechanism clamped on a work bench and readily accessible BEFORE installation. Overall, very happy with the product!

		Item RAS-RSML-MPHDSCCR-18 is just the lift mechanism arms and maple shelf- we do not provide any cabinetry, mixer or electrical materials.
