The dowels measure 3/8" in diameter and are spaced 2" on center. The center 3 dowels are removable for easy cleaning.

| The quality of these are really good. HOWEVER, the middle 4 dowels are much shorter. I was not expecting this at all. “They are removable for cleaning, etc.”
You could see daylight through the opening with the dowel rod in place. I would much rather they come unassembled completely than have to go purchase dowels to fit it properly.
Pain in the hiney to say the least.

Since it is my first time putting one in it took a trip to the home store to view a plate rack already installed to figure out how to best place it in the cabinet. Looks very good once stained and installed. Added some trim and it looks like it was built into the cabinet. Overall very pleased. |

| The dimensions of the plate rack are: 30": 28-1/4" W x 13-1/16" H, and you would need the cabinet opening to be at least 13-1/16" H. But you would also want to take into consideration how tall the plates will be that you are going to store. |

| You can angle this, however it cannot be installed at the untrimmed width, you will need to trim it down and caddie corner the two pieces. |

| Before the dowels go into the rails, you have 12.5625" space, so you should be able to slide the 12" plates in there. |
