| This appliance garage was exactly what I wanted! The quality and workmanship was good. My husband is a carpenter and is very fussy, and this met his standards. He had to cut it down a bit and shape to fit our back splash, but that was expected as it was stated in the product description that one might need to adjust the fit. The wood took the stain beautifully, and the garage looks like it was installed at the same time as my cabinets 6 years ago. | The unit is fine but not great. The door was really tight in it's tracks. Customer service response was to wipe some wax in the tracks. I had to take out the door, and sand down the wooden slats to allow smoother operation. After that, finishing and waxing, it operates OK. |

| Product was fairly easy to install, couple of items in the box, the instructions had no explanation of what they were for. No instructions on how to adjust the door, the tension. Had to call customer service and they told me, but basically you adjust it when it is un-installed, just a little too late after you have it installed to find out how to adjust the tension on the door. |

| The cabinet sits on the kitchen cabinet. What protects the bottom of the cabinet from water damage due to cleaning the kitchen counter? Is there a plastic sleeve along the bottom? Are the side panels thick enough for small tacks to be inserted that will lift them 1/4 inch up off the counter? | This appliance garage is a wood product like a kitchen cabinet so it is susceptible to water damage. The same care and precautions should be taken into consideration like any other wooden cabinet ware. We do not provide any protection/warranty/application suggestions regarding water damage or prevention. We highly recommend not purchasing this product if it is going to be used near a water source. The risk is assumed by the purchaser.
Regarding the side panels, they are 3/8" thick MDF with veneer on the face and back. |

| There is no back on this. If you had a backsplash you would have to cut out the side to accommodate the backsplash, but you would not have to worry about that without a backsplash on your counter. |

| Maple is the best species for painting. There is no difference between the solid wood and veneer as far as painting go. The painting of the grooves is a little detailed but should come out fine. It's done all the time. Of course, remembering that how things appear to each individual is subjective. We can tell you we haven't had any complaints that we know of. |
