| The product came with no #8 screws which I suppose isn't terrible, but would have been better if they were included. There were also no instructions which was odd. Cabinet hardware is not just as simple as putting it on and you should have an understanding of where it needs to be positioned. Otherwise it came in a box that was packaged well. |

| We had a specific need for a hinge that would work on a built in bench with no clearance on the back to open upholstered 2†thick bench tops. I saw this and thought it might work, and was not disappointed! It allows plenty of clearance when opening (the bench top opens up and away from the wall about 3â€) was easy to install, and has some seriously beefy springs on it that keep the bench top open to access storage underneath. I would buy again, very pleased. |

| Great hinges! Have used them several times now for different jobs. They lift away from the surface allowing for mounting a lid flush up against a wall or cabinet. Once lifted away, they notch back and rest at a slight angle so it won't close on you. Can be used with or without the springs, springs easily come off if not wanted. I plan to use these for all my jobs needing a lid lift like this. |

| Much better approach to hinging a bench seat compared to a piano hinge and the spring-loaded hinges are a nice assist for opening and closing. Measurements in the installation diagrams are accurate for the hole drilling. If you're using MDF for the top, these special varianta screws would appear to be best choose and they don't come with this hinge order so add them in on your order with the appropriate length of screw for the thickness of your top. All and all very pleased. |

| Spring is the same color as the hinge. Was planning on the blue spring for finished look. I had trouble finding a hinge that would work on storage bench lid with no reveal up against the wall, this is the hinge for the job. Took a second to orientate it with no information in the packaging but referencing the description on the web page got me straightened out. |

| Used these for an L shaped walnut bench I built. Had pretty tight reveals and the angle of these hinges was perfect to open the lids against the wall without touching it and let it sit in the open position. The springs are pretty easy to remove, which is necessary for installation, and in my case I didn't end up using the springs at all because my bench tops weren't that heavy. |

| I needed a hinges and lid support for a storage bench that was going against a wall. This worked perfectly! The lid weighs about 17 lbs, so I opted to get
the larger 12kg hinges. When the hinges arrived and I tried to move it by hand, I was worried that the spring was TOO strong and there would be closing/opening issues. But when I installed the pair... they worked like a charm! The dimension drawing was a little work to figure out but a quick little mock-up with scrap wood and TA-DA!!! GREAT BUY! |

| I've used this hinge on toy boxes and on a 5'X 3' storage box on my son's deck.
It worked well. The last order, I planed to sue them on the top's of storage compartments on my boat. They didn't work. Not the hinge fault. One of the hinges had to be at an angle to the other. This forced them to bind when closing and the lid not close. MY Bad.
If you keep them parallel the work great. |

| Excellent hinges. They work great for our camper that has a custom bench seat. Holds the lid up perfectly so I can get supplies out without hitting my head on the seat part.
Very easy to install even without instructions. I used the hinge detail on this website for the hinges. Measured and made a couple reference lines and screw them in with some flat gear wood screws.
I'm going to buy another set of hinges for another bench seat. |

| I was glad to find these hinges to use on a built-in bench - they're much nicer than other options as they are completely concealed. I got the ones for a 12kg lid and the 16.5" x 48" x .75" ash bench top is barely heavy enough to keep it down. I'm hopeful that with a little time it will work perfectly.
I am a little disappointed in how far out the bring the lid as it makes the access into the bench a little small. And I think the installation diagram could be a little more clear. But I would still purchase these hinges again if the need arises. |

| Although there were no instructions, I did with an effort install the hinges and bench seat. Once you work through the installation, it is easy to use and will be my top choice in the future for this type of application. I think they should have a video of the installation to help other cabinetmakers.
First install the hinge as described and do a test seat to get a sense of what is necessary. |

| Is it common for these hinges to become loose after continued use? We built a bench with a lid to store shoes in our mudroom so it gets used daily.
